7 1/2 Habits

I am a naturally curious person so the 1/2 is easy for me. Also, I have realized through my life and work experience what a great resource other people are for learning, gaining a new perspective on something, understanding that there are different angles to approach any type of challenge and people can be great motivators helping and encouraging you to achieve your goals. I think technology is exciting, virtually opening up doors and channels of discovery that I never knew existed. As for Habit #6, I find it a challenge to follow through tutorials, and I know that means that I may miss something, but I find it more useful to just dive in and try it, talking about it with other people and asking for help. This is my personal learning style. I read a lot about technology, explore and know people who are tech saavy so that really helps me use technology to my advantage. To me, the power of web 2.0 is it's ability to reveal connections between people, experiences and knowledge. The hardest habit for me is # 5, create your own toolbox. The reason this is a challenge for me is that when I come across something that I know will be useful, I file it away in mind, then may forget to file it somewhere that may actually be accessible, a folder for instance. I need to work on being mindful of keeping my tools where I can find them. I am excited to learn new technologies...and be a resource for others.
